Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP
2014 Law Firm of the Year

Legal Aid Service of Collier County is proud to honor Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP for their service to the community and generous support of Legal Aid. Hahn Loeser & Parks has generously sponsored the Barrister’s Bash every year since the event was launched.

Attorneys at Hahn Loeser & Parks have helped Legal Aid through their pro bono service, most notably through the ‘Wills for Heroes’ pro bono initiative, which was launched in 2012 to provide Wills and basic estate planning documents to local Veterans, firefighters, police officers and first responders. This program was a way of saying ‘thank you’ for all that these local heroes do to make our community safer.

The leadership of Hahn Loeser & Parks’ Southwest Florida Offices Managing Partner Jeanne Seewald has also been very important to Legal Aid. Ms. Seewald, the Immediate Past-President of the Collier County Bar Association, has been a longstanding and vigorous supporter of Legal Aid Service of Collier County. Her leadership – as well as the efforts of the other members of the Board of Directors and executive officers of the CCBA placed a spotlight on the importance of the work of Legal Aid in service to those in need. “The Law Firm of the Year award has been well earned, and we thank all the members of the firm for all they do for Legal Aid.”

Timothy Hains, Esq.
2014 Attorney of the Year

As Mr. Hains began the process of slowly winding down his caseload after many years of service, he and his firm approached Legal Aid in late 2012 – offering his talents and services as a pro bono attorney. Since January of 2013, Mr. Hains has handled numerous pro bono cases for Legal Aid and the Collier Lawyers Care Pro Bono Program. Since 2013 began, he has performed well over 30 hours of pro bono service to date – not including the time spent on the cases which are ongoing and have not yet closed.

Mr. Hains has had a long and quite distinguished legal career, and his commitment to pro bono service provides an excellent example for other attorneys to follow. He has practiced as an attorney in Florida since 1974, and is a Partner with Quarles & Brady, LLP. He was the Managing Partner with that firm from 2000 to 2011. A highly skilled practitioner for many years focusing his practice on real estate law, Mr. Hains was named to the Florida Super Lawyers® lists for Real Estate from 2006 to 2012.

Mr. Hains has performed outstanding work and has taken pro bono cases from Legal Aid in ‘high need areas’ – including wage garnishment and collections, real estate, Landlord-Tenant Law, Wills and Estates and other Housing Law matters. The cases he has handled have had a substantial impact – financially and otherwise – on the lives of the needy clients who were assisted. Tim’s outstanding efforts have made a huge impact in the lives of the clients he has served free of charge through our Collier Lawyers Care Pro Bono Program. He is truly deserving of this honor.
