5th Annual Wills for Heroes Pro Bono Event
Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Legal Aid Service of Collier County
4336 Tamiami Trail East
Naples, FL 34112
In partnership with members of the Trusts and Estates Section of the Collier County Bar Association, Legal Aid Service of Collier County will be conducting its annual “Wills for Heroes” pro bono clinic to draft wills, living wills, and related basic estate planning instruments for some of the “heroes” in our community, including local veterans, police officers, firefighters, and EMTs/first responders. The goal of Wills for Heroes is to ensure that the legal affairs of these very special clients are in order to protect them and those in their family – and to thank them for their service to our local community and country.
Wills for Heroes will be held at the office of Legal Aid Service of Collier County (4436 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34112) on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Any Veteran or First Responder interested in participating should RSVP by completing the following form and emailing it to Legal Aid, no later than 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2nd.
Attendees wishing to receive services at the “Wills for Heroes” event must be Florida residents with a military or other service ID. All qualified applicants are welcome; however, it is recommended that anyone seeking services register in advance by completing the above registration form. There are limited opportunities for these services, and given the expected high attendance at this year’s event Legal Aid cannot guarantee that attendees will be able to receive services on November 5th if they have not registered in advance and provided the necessary information. Thus, preference will be given to those who have registered in advance.
It is truly an honor for Legal Aid and all of the participating law firms to be able to give back to the men and women who have sacrificed so much for this country and our community, and we hope to see you there. If you have any questions, please contact Legal Aid for assistance.
