LEGAL AID’S 3RD ANNUAL ‘TAKE A STAND AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE’ 5K RUN/WALK – OCTOBER 23 AT SUGDEN PARK

Naples, FL – Legal Aid Service of Collier County (‘Legal Aid’) is conducting its 3rd Annual ‘Take a Stand Against Domestic Violence 5K Run/Walk’ on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Sugden Park in Naples beginning at 8:00 a.m.  The founder of the race, Tina Nash, is a domestic violence survivor who started the event to spread awareness about the resources available through Legal Aid to those at-risk and to raise funds for the projects operating within Legal Aid that serve hundreds of victims of domestic violence and abused children annually.

Legal Aid is a Division of Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Inc., a 501 c 3 non-profit corporation.  Legal Aid has served thousands of residents of Collier County with free services on civil legal matters of life-changing significance since 2004.  All proceeds raised from the event benefit Legal Aid and the programs it operates to assist domestic violence survivors and children at-risk of harm or abuse.

The cost to participate in the race is $25 for adults and $10 for children under age 18.  This is a family-friendly and inclusive event open to everyone in the public who wants to run or walk in the race to ‘stand’ with Legal Aid as we support and demonstrate solidarity with domestic violence survivors during ‘Domestic Violence Awareness Month’ this October.
