Legal Aid’s “Women and Girls in Need” Project provides free civil legal services aimed to address the economic issues and challenges facing low income senior women, women leading households by themselves with minor children, and women and girls with disabilities.
These services include, but are not limited to helping women who: (a) have fallen into debt and have credit and collections issues; (b) face eviction from their homes; (c) seek income and medical benefits for the elderly and/or disabled; (d) are victims of fraud or elder abuse; (e) have insurance disputes; (f) or need help with basic estate planning (Wills, Medical Care Directives, Trust and Guardian provisions).
