We are devoted to providing every person in Collier County who cannot afford an attorney with the civil legal representation needed to ensure their safety, health and minimum economic security. We need your support and thank you for your shared commitment to improving our community.
Recurring monthly gifts or a one-time donation greatly assists our mission. You can donate directly on our website or by contacting us at (239) 775-4555.
Charitable “gift matching” programs are relatively common, and many people are unaware whether their employer takes part in such a program. If your employer does participate in a charitable “gift matching” program, please consider leveraging this wonderful philanthropic tool to help Legal Aid and their mission.
Unsure whether your employer takes part in this program? Simply ask your HR department whether they participate, and if so, for the matching gift form. Simply sign and submit your donation to Legal Aid; we will do the rest.
Legal Aid Service of Collier County prides itself on the corporate partnerships it has formed in Collier County, particularly our partnerships with the local legal community and Collier County Bar Association. There are several ways to support Legal Aid’s mission in Collier County. Donations of time, money, and services; matching your employees’ contributions; sponsoring legal clinics and other events; and volunteering to serve on one of Legal Aid’s boards. If your organization would like more information about how you can partner with LASCC to ensure the safety, health, and minimum economic security of the needy in Collier County, please contact us.
Stocks & Securities
Stocks and securities may be given directly to Legal Aid or used to fund charitable gift annuities or charitable remainder trusts. Donating stocks owned for one year or more may allow for a charitable deduction of the full fair market value of the stock, not just the original cost. Donors may also realize additional tax savings by bypassing applicable capital gains taxes. This may result in significant savings if the value of the stock has substantially increased since it was purchased. For more information on how you can donate your stocks or securities to Legal Aid, please contact us.
Individuals aged 70 ½ or older may be eligible to transfer up to $100,000 from their IRAs directly to qualified charities, such as Legal Aid, tax free. To find out if you may qualify for an IRA charitable rollover, please consult your financial advisor and contact us for more information.
Bequests & Beneficiary Designations
A Legacy donation to Legal Aid will serve to perpetuate the values of fairness and equal justice long into the future. A planned gift to Legal Aid helps ensure the future of Legal Aid, as it gives us an opportunity to plan for our further growth and development. Please consider supporting Legal Aid by leaving a charitable gift through your will or trust agreement.
